i. An Exporter should have

• Registration of Firm/Company/Industry
• Registration in local Inland Revenue office
• Current account with a commercial bank.

ii. An export order could be effected

• If a letter of credit is opened on the exporter's name
• Advanced payment is deposited, in convertible currency, in the exporter's bank account
• Samples, up to the value of USD.150 could be exported without the conditions stated on II a & b.
• Some product could be exported without fulfilling the conditions stated in II a & II b. Similarly, export to India and Tibet enjoy whatever of the conditions stated in II a & II b.

iii. Documents Required for Export

• Commercial Invoice certified by Handicraft Association of Nepal along with a certificate.
• Packing List
• Certificate of origin issued by Chambers of Commerce.
• Nepal Rastra Bank declaration form
• Advance payment or letter of credit
• Authorization letter
• A copy of firm registration/Income tax (Permanent Account Number) registration – once a year
• A copy of custom agent registration
• *Museum pass certificate
• *G.S.P. for A
• *No objection letter from Handicraft Association of Nepal for products made from the parts of domestic animals
• *Recommended letter form Department of Miners for some mineral products
• *Recommendation letter from Department of Forestry for some forestry based products.
